The research note for "Media-sports cooperated by Private railway in the early 20th century" : Focused on the 6th Far Eastern Championship Games (1923)

This research note aims to reveal the history of the sports events operated by two newspaper companies, The Osaka Asahi and The Osaka Mainichi, in the early 20th century. It focuses on Minato Ward of Osaka City where several sport-events were held, the 6th Far Eastern Championship Games in1923, for example, and "Ichioka Paradise" was built in 1925, which consisted of several amusement facilities and the Japan\u27s first artificial skating link.本研究ノートは、20世紀初頭、大阪を中心に展開された新聞社によるスポーツ事業と、そのスペースを提供した大阪市港区に焦点を当てる。なかでも、1923年に開催された極東競技大会がどのような経過で開催されたのか、そこに新聞社の人々がどのようにかかわったのかを明らかにする資料の一部を提示する。また港区市岡に1925年に開設された娯楽施設「市岡パラダイス」の建設経過と、阪神間のスケート競技に与えた影響についても資料を提示する
